Ten Drugi to wzruszająca i skłaniająca do przemyśleń opowieść o pewnej rodzinie, w której życiu najpierw pojawia się długo wyczekiwana radość, a później znienacka nadchodzi niszcząca burza. Oczami pluszowego misia obserwujemy, jak po tej burzy w końcu wychodzi słońce, rany powoli się goją, a w sercach ponownie zaczyna gościć szczęście.
Ta wzruszająca opowieść, choć mówi o największej tragedii, jaka może spotkać człowieka – o utracie dziecka – nie przeraża i nie odbiera chęci do życia. Przeciwnie – tchnie wiarą w jego sens i ciepłem. Śmierć pozostaje w domyśle, niedotykalna, a dziecko, które tracą rodzice, jest anonimowe i pojawia się na tak krótko, że mały czytelnik nie zdoła nawiązać z nim więzi emocjonalnej. Autorka porusza ten najtrudniejszy z tematów z wielką delikatnością i czułością. Książeczka ta, czytana dziecku w przytuleniu, może pomóc w zmierzeniu się z problemem choroby i śmierci.

The Other One is a poignant, thought-provoking story about a certain family where firstly a long awaited joy, and then the sudden emergence of a storm appears. Through the eyes of Teddy Bear we eventually observe rising of the sun after the dissipating storm, wounds which heal slowly, and the hearts indwellment by joy and happiness once again.
