A Patriot's Devotional

A Patriot’s Devotional is a collection of daily devotionals that provide inspiration and encouragement for everyday living. The book is the perfect companion for time alone with God, whether for morning or evening prayer. Each devotional of A Patriot’s Devotional blends references to history, culture, current events, music and much more with Scripture and personal insight. Written by Carroll Walker, a patriot and veteran of the U.S. Army who served in the Vietnam conflict and is also chaplain of the Jeff Davis County Veterans Association in his hometown of Hazlehurst, Georgia, the book shows how each day’s reading fits into our lifestyles and provides the pathway to strengthen our faith for a deeper relationship with God.

 

 Carroll Walker is a lifelong resident of Jeff Davis County, Georgia. After graduating from Jeff Davis High School, he spent two years in the U.S. Army including time in Vietnam.  After his time in the Army, he began working for and later retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a rural letter carrier. He currently serves as chaplain of Jeff Davis County Veterans Association, Inc. In his spare time, he enjoys woodworking, gardening and fishing with a special emphasis on fishing.

 

He is married to the former Susan Taylor of Alma, Georgia.  He has two sons, four granddaughters and one grandson. He and Susan are members of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship in Hazlehurst.
