Functional Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies

Nanotechnology and nanomaterials have impacted all engineering, science and technology sectors owing to their superior properties and performance profiles as compared to the conventional materials. Energy and environment are the two main sectors among these which have experienced widespread application of these nanotechnologies and nanomaterials. Specifically, the applications of such materials and technologies in enhanced oil recovery, gas adsorption, gas separation, corrosion protection, fuel cell components and chemical reactions have been achieved. To elaborate these in detail, the present volume provides fundamental aspects of these materials and technologies, along with significant insights into their development for particular applications. Thus, the chapters not only make the readers aware about their current state of art, but also allow the users to make efficient choice of materials and processes as well as to tune these further to target specific applications.
