Through real-life reflective accounts, accented by scripture and prayer, Jemma Regis leads the reader on a reflective encounter of their own, speaking into challenges that so many of us face when we are requesting, yet also resisting, living according to God’s intention for us.

Jemma's portrayal of her journey to arrive at this stage keeps it authentically tangible and the reader is able to relate to the challenge of the Christian walk. We grasp a real sense of the roller coaster of emotions, brokenness, escape, emotional hurt, physical pain, forgiveness, elation, joy and hope she experiences. God manages disobedience but still loves, cares, protects and provides for her. She vividly describes God's love chiselling away and moulding 'old matter and material into a beautiful ornate vase'. It is a gripping moment for the reader to discover this is how God has been processing her and how He perceives His Children.

The book is entitled “God's Romantic Getaway” which superficially suggests a break or time out of the hustle and bustle of life. But, in actual fact, we read of a young lady 'Getting Together' with Jesus and her journey to get to know and love Christ intimately.

Once read, you too will examine your own journey and relationship with Christ or wonder why you have not yet asked to go on that romantic getaway with Him.
