In Reaching Greater Heights: A 30-Day Journey That Will Change Your Life, Grace Gonzalez shares with you her personal experience of learning a closer walk with God. Like many of us, Grace knows what it is like to suffer through circumstances that seem unbearable. After her family emigrated from Italy, her father died young leaving her mother with ten children to support. Although she had lost the great love of her life, Grace's mother never blamed God. She continued to take her children to church, and taught them to honor the Lord. This early teaching came back to Grace often as she was growing up. She found herself running back to His arms for comfort and guidance. But childhood teaching isn't enough-each of us needs to nurture a personal relationship with God. Grace started to seek God for herself, rather than taking someone else's word for what He was saying. She began to read the Bible, and she prayed more often. And then, the national tragedy of September 11, 2001 caused a deeper awakening in her soul. She was called to the church and pastors who are now her spiritual home and leaders, and with whose loving service she and her husband have discovered a new level of faith. As Grace progressed on her spiritual journey, one day she felt like writing to God, pouring out her heart to Him to let Him know how much she loved Him, how much she adored His Son, and how grateful she was for His Holy Spirit. Writing to God opened up an even deeper love-and it changed her life. The joy she felt was so compelling that she knew she had to share it-first in a workshop at her church, and now with this book.
