The path to resilience

In search of the American dream, young Severine and her French-Haitian family move from France to the United States. They quickly discover success comes at a high cost and life as an immigrant is far from what they thought it would be. What was once an American Dream turns into a nightmare when Severine's mom is arrested in the middle of the night. And when tension around immigration rises Severine is forced to leave the life she knew behind.
