Sławomir Juszczyk

Professor Sławomir Juszczyk, habilitated PhD, heads Banking Unit and Postgraduate Studies in Management of Cooperative Bank at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences’ Faculty of Economics. He was also the head of intramural doctoral studies. His areas of expertise cover: cooperative economics, agricultural economics, economic policy, finances and bank management. Currently, his main area of interest is cooperative and commercial banking. He teaches banking, enterprise finances, management of credit institutions and management of cooperative banking institutions. He’s experience is of theoretical and practical nature and includes cooperation with cooperative administration, local authorities, central authorities, banks, industry and European Parliament. From 2010 to 2014 he has done consulting work for FAO. He has done many scholarships. In 2015, he set up cooperation with University of Arkansas in the area of farm crediting and support of small and middle enterprises. In 2016, he lectured  for PhD candidates at University of Vaasa. While there, he also consulted with PhD candidates and dealt with research financing and economic innovations.

He successfully promoted eight PhD candidates and is currently in progress of promoting four others. He also promoted over 200 masters and bachelor theses and reviewed many doctoral and habilitation dissertations. He presides over the Committee for the Procedure of Awarding Professorship. He authored and co-authored over 200 publications (including 19 books).
