Myślałam, że piszę książkę o pamięci, ale napisałam love story. Chciałam stworzyć plot, ale prawdziwe wydarzenia i osoby okazały się ciekawsze niż te wymyślone. Powstała osobista opowieść, więc jeśli takich nie lubicie, to ostrzegam, że ta właśnie taka jest. A jeśli ktoś zapyta, dlaczego ją napisałam, to dlatego, że to jest po prostu historia, która chciała być opowiedziana. Taka amerykańska story: miłość, lato i długa podróż, a potem nagle zmiana czasu na bezpowrotnie zimowy. Zniknięcie, którego nikt nie akceptuje.
