Jesuits and Universities Artistic and Ideological Aspects of Baroque Colleges of the Society of Jesus

Prezentowany tom jest zbiorem tekstów autorstwa polskich i włoskich historyków sztuki dotyczących problematyki artystyczno-ideowej jezuickich kompleksów uniwersyteckich Genui i Wrocławia. Publikacja podzielona jest na dwie części: część pierwsza zawiera prezentację kompleksu genueńskiego, druga — wrocławskiego. We wstępnych rozdziałach każdej z nich próbowano osadzić obydwa zespoły w kontekście ideowym i artystycznym Italii i Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej, następnie poddano charakterystyce najważniejsze elementy tych zespołów w ich hierarchicznym układzie. Atrakcyjność tomu podnosi obszerny materiał ilustracyjny — na 380 stronach znajduje się 228 ilustracji.
